Pressure

“Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put our of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.”

Jesus warned us to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and the leaven of Herod. This speaks of the religious spirit and the political spirit. He knew there would be pressure that would come and try to defile us. We can’t just attend church without true intimacy with Christ. Also we can’t get caught up with the political spirit. The devil uses both spirits to bring corruption over the people. Jesus reminds us that He has all authority and when we see Him, we see the Father. We want to be mindful of the pressure that comes and press back. Pressure the pressure and seek to please Him!
