Pastor Napoleon Kaufman
From the playing fields of Lompoc High School, along the Central Coast of California, Napoleon Kaufman in 1991 won a full scholarship to play football for the Huskies of The University of Washington. Upon finishing his senior year with the Huskies, the then two-time All-American and Heisman Trophy candidate became a first round draft pick for the Los Angeles Raiders. In 1995 Napoleon Kaufman began a professional football career that would span 6 years and would catapult him to elite status as a “premier” NFL running back. The athletic superstar from Lompoc, California had “made it” to the big time and was living the “dream” of every young boy who has ever played the game of football.
Sunday afternoons on the playing fields of the NFL did not hold the passion of Napoleon Kaufman for long however. In response to the call of God in 2001, Napoleon retired from professional football and today is the Senior Pastor of The Well Christian Community in Livermore, California. Under the Spiritual covering of GateWay City Church in San Jose, California, the Well opened its doors for the first time on March 2, 2003. From a relatively modest beginning in a small 110 seat sanctuary in San Ramon, California, The well relocated in June 2013 to its current eighty three thousand square foot facility in Livermore. The vision that God placed on the heart of Pastor Kaufman remains firmly rooted today as God continues to grow the ministry of The Well, both in breadth and depth.
Under the Apostolic and Prophetic anointing of Pastor Napoleon Kaufman, The Well Christian Community shines as an expression of God’s love and hope for restoration. By the power of God’s vision in the heart of Pastor Napoleon Kaufman, the Well is becoming a center from which Apostolic, Prophetic and Healing teams of Ministers are being sent to not only churches and areas outside of the walls of The Well, but also to the nations of the world. It has been through the hearing of God’s voice and by the desire to be obedient to His calling, that Pastor Kaufman now leads The Well Christian Community to a level of anointing that has exceeded all the original expectations. Lives are being changed and the power of the Holy Spirit is evident each time that the doors of The Well are open.
In addition to Pastor Kaufman’s ever-expanding Pastoral responsibilities, The Well continues to broadcast his Sunday messages under the program title of “Times of Refreshing”. He also continues to minister itinerantly throughout the United States and internationally as time permits and God directs. Pastors Napoleon and Nicole Kaufman have three beautiful boys, Napoleon, Nathanael, and Nehemiah and a daughter, Natalia.
